care for your child

Hi! I’m Monika

Monika Andreetta, MSc, MClSc, Reg. CASLPO, S-LP(C)
Owner & Speech-Language Pathologist
My Story: I love parenting and communication, and both inspire my passion for helping parents support their children's speech, language, and literacy development in playful, engaging, and effective ways so that their children can share their own big or little, wonderful, and meaningful stories with us (click to read on...)

I’m a mom with two children who both love to create and tell stories, and I love hearing how those stories grow as they do. I’m here because I care wholeheartedly about helping kids communicate, connect with others, have fun, learn and grow, and discover their voice to tell their very own stories!

Along the way through my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist and the continuing education and training I’ve pursued, I’ve learned effective play-based and child-led ways to support children’s speech and language development, and I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge with you.

Together, let’s improve communication, strengthen relationships, set up for success at school, and enrich your child’s quality of life now and for their future.

I want that for my family, and I want it for your family.

Thank you to all the families who have allowed me to be part of your child’s journey. Thank you to my past/present/future mentors, especially the little ones–you will always be the greatest inspiration and most impactful teachers in my practice.

Helping Your Child Together

Early Intervention (birth to 3 years old) - Early support for children who may be Late Talkers (from late-to-babble to first words, word combinations, and early sentences)

Articulation and Phonology (pronouncing and using sounds)

Motor Speech (putting sounds together clearly)

Fluency (Stuttering)

Pre-literacy to Advanced Structured Literacy (reading and writing skills including phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension)

Assessment

An assessment allows me to identify your child’s specific communication strengths and needs and to recommend the next steps, such as beginning speech and language therapy and connecting you with resources and professionals in other areas of care.

If your child may benefit from therapy, we can create a personalized plan of care with meaningful, achievable goals for your child and family.

If your child’s skills are on track, I can share information about what steps to anticipate next and ways to promote continued development.

Therapy

My therapy approach, method, and techniques are informed by research evidence, clinical experience, and individual factors related to your child.

Aligned with best practice, I focus on parent coaching for early intervention with toddlers, and for preschoolers and school-aged kids, I also offer individual speech therapy and literacy intervention.

Success in achieving communication goals is rooted in play, practice, and partnership. Play is the best way to learn. Together, we can engage your child by building practice from their strengths and discovering what inspires and motivates them most.

At Home

I want you and your child to have the comfort, convenience, and safety of being at home, and seeing a child in their own natural environment allows for the most effective planning of care.

I offer interactive virtual (online) care as a way to access high-quality service in a way that is fun, convenient, and effective across Ontario.

I may also offer in-person services at your home in London, Ontario for an additional travel fee.

Let’s explore how I can support you and your child where you are.
